This year, the Catholic Foundation received 18 nominations from across the Diocese: Parishes, Catholic schools, and non-profits. On June 17, 2024, the beloved Santa Rosa de Lima Church, an iconic symbol of faith and community built in 1941, was tragically struck by fire. For 83 years, Santa Rosa has been a spiritual home to many, a place of solace, celebration, and community gathering. The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated, and they need our support now more than ever.

Cruz Falcon has been a dedicated parishioner at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini for over 20 years. His journey with the parish began when Mass was still held in the hall, and he witnessed the growth and establishment of the new church. Cruz has served in various ministries for the past 15 years, including Hospitality, Extraordinary Minister of Communion, and the Knights of Columbus. His unwavering commitment and service are genuinely inspiring.

Paul Raynoha, along with his beautiful wife Irene, moved to El Paso from Arizona in 2020 after Irene was diagnosed with a serious illness. Their new home for retirement was chosen with a deep desire to be near a church, and the Lord answered their prayers by blessing them with a home right behind St. Stephen, Deacon and Martyr Parish.

Daniel Macias and his wife, Alma, moved to El Paso from Colorado and have been devoted parishioners at Holy Spirit Parish since 2000. Their journey in ministry began in 2007, and since then, they have become pillars of their parish community. Daniel and Alma dedicate themselves daily to the church, spearheading Evangelization Retreats, engaging in Family Ministry, participating in multiple Prayer Groups, leading Bible Study, and contributing to the music ministry. Their unwavering commitment to serve is evident in every aspect of their lives.

Oscar Perez has been a steadfast parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish since 1975, when the parish was still a mission. His journey in ministry began in 1993, and he has since dedicated himself to serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion, Sacristan, and Sacristan Coordinator. Oscar’s faith journey is deeply rooted in his family traditions; he fondly remembers his mother taking the family to 7 a.m. Mass at St. Anthony, walking together in the early morning. This foundation of faith continued when Oscar and his wife moved to the west side of El Paso. At St. Francis, his wife began singing in the choir, their boys became Altar Servers, and the church quickly became the center of their spiritual lives.

Roland Guerrero has been a pillar of dedication and faith at St. Pius Parish. His involvement spans several ministries: Music Ministry, Reconciliation Ministry, The Man Is You, and serving as a Spiritual Companion for retreats. Roland’s journey of service began at the tender age of 13, and his commitment has only deepened over the years. His story is one of unwavering love and dedication to his faith and community.

Announcing Jim Wahlberg as our Keynote Speaker for the 18th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner, Serving with Corazón, “Faith in Action.” We will also honor Monsignor Arturo Banuelas as the Dei Gratia award winner.

Chole Armendariz stands as a beacon of unwavering dedication and profound faith within the Queen of Peace Parish community. She has poured her heart and soul into service for nearly two decades, touching countless lives through her ministries. Her commitment is not merely a responsibility to God’s work but a testament to her deep understanding of God’s boundless love and the sacrificial nature of service.
