The Catholic Legacy Fund is the program name for all our endowed funds. We use endowed funds to support the long-term needs of parishes, schools, ministries, and charities. All funds are separate, and money cannot be moved between funds. As a permanent endowment, the principal donations exist in perpetuity, while distributions are made from the annual interest. This guarantees donations will grow over time and continue to support the community and mission of the Diocese of El Paso.
The Catholic Foundation manages over 100 funds divided into three main categories: Catholic School Endowments, Ministry and Charity Endowments, and Parish Endowments. We invite you to prayerfully consider donating to one of the existing funds or inquire about starting a new fund for a cause you’re passionate about.
The Catholic Foundation is committed to serving as responsible stewards to its donors by providing effective and efficient investment and distribution of funds. We have a long history of responsibly operating our programs and we maintain our standards by annually assessing our costs.
You can start a new Named Fund with a gift of $10,000 or more. This can be a one-time gift or a pledge spread over a five year period. You get to choose how your gift is used for the parish, school, ministry, or charity of your choice.
Contact the Catholic Foundation at (915) 872-8412 or donorservices@catholicfoundationelpaso.org for more information on starting a Named Fund.
The generous donors recognized in the Bishop’s Legacy Circle have made a gift of $10,000 or more to establish a Named Fund or left a statement of intention to provide a planned gift at this level to the parish, ministry, or school of their choice. If you have listed the Catholic Foundation in your will, please let us know so that we may recognize your intentions.
