More than 600 families receive food provided by El Pasoans Fighting Hunger every Wednesday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Westside El Paso.

Cathedral High School and the Cathedral High School Alumni Association are starting a new Christmas holiday tradition with the lighting of the entire school. Adolfo Sanchez, Principal of Cathedral High School, said he hopes to make this an annual festive celebration starting with the Advent Season.

Pasko na naman! The Christmas season is almost here! Even in the midst of the pandemic, the Filipino community will be celebrating an age-old Christmas tradition dear to their hearts, the Simbang Gabi. This year’s virtual event is set for December 19, 2020 at 6pm and will be livestreamed on the Pinoy Monthly Mass of El Paso Facebook page.

Andrea Tirres, a 1995 graduate of Loretto Academy, put together COVID-19 resources for her beloved community so that our abuelos, fathers, mothers, tíos, co-workers, primos, compañeros, children, and neighbors can plan for a future that is once again filled with laughter, abrazos, dancing, and pachangas for the young and old in our community.

Professionals and volunteers from around the El Paso community and across the state have come together to work on a the first ever project of its kind in the Segundo Barrio: Restore Sacred Heart Church. The Segundo Barrio National Historic District will be established in 2021 thanks to El Paso County, the Texas Historical Commission, and the National Park Service.

We personally invite you to join a distinguished group in creating the Rev. Richard A. Matty Fund for the St. Patrick Cathedral Historic Preservation Fund, the Seminarian Education Endowment Fund, or the Retired Priest Appreciation Fund.

A total of 5,500 donors contributed $1,924,673 to 216 nonprofits during the 5th Annual El Paso Giving Day! The Foundation is deeply grateful for everyone who gave a total of $10,225 in support of permanent deacons, and for your continued prayers.
