The Clergy Corner, tailored for ordained ministers in the Diocese of El Paso, will help welcome parishioners back to church life in the Diocese of El Paso, and provide ongoing support to our bishop, priests, and deacons.
On June 1, 2021, Bishop Mark J. Seitz announced the opening of churches at 100% capacity with a mask mandate. To help church leaders and parishioners get back to in-person church and ministry, the Catholic Foundation, in collaboration with the Catholic Foundation’s Stewardship Committee, created the Clergy Corner.
The Clergy Corner offers bilingual resources, tips to improve online giving, links, social media tutorials, effective communication tools, a section to include parish activities, and useful materials like “Welcome Back” postcards.
During the pandemic, social isolation made mental health even more of a focus. The Clergy Corner includes sections dedicated the mental well-being of parishioners, a community resource directory, and clergy self-care. The Catholic Foundation is working in partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to offer clergy and their parishioners COVID-19 virus and vaccine informational videos.
We are called to be people of faith and to live in community with one another so it’s a joy that we can return to the community life of our churches. Welcome back! Please contact your parish directly to learn more about re-opening protocols, and to sign up for, or return to, ministry service. For Diocese of El Paso parish information, click here.
