In 2009, Mike and Clara Miles donated $2.7 million to the Catholic Foundation for the Cathedral High School Scholarship Fund, Loretto Academy Scholarship Fund, Father Yermo High School Scholarship Fund, and the Bishop’s Scholarship Fund.

The Diocese of El Paso conducted a Mass Attendance Count in all parishes on the weekend of October 15 and 16.

7th & 8th graders raised thousands of dollars for the St. Matthew Catholic School Endowment Fund, a permanent fund that provides needed scholarships and financial aid for students attending St. Matthew.

Donors who attended the 10th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner gave generously, including $4,100 for students attending Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School.

Every year we celebrate our Catholic high school seniors with a mass in their honor. This year, St. Raphael Parish will host the mass to include all of our youth and special guest, Foundation of Faith Dinner keynote speaker, Fr. Leo Patalinghug.

We are very grateful to our donors to the annual live auction, one of the highlights of the evening! Last year’s auction, led by Auctioneer Extraordinaire Victoria Pineda, raised $50,000 and we are looking forward to another fun night of bidding.

Benny and Machelle Vanecek celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on Saturday, September 3 at 12 noon at St Patrick Cathedral: the same day, time, and place they married in 1966.
