We set a goal of raising $10,000 for Sister Silvia on El Paso Giving Day and thanks to her inspiring ministry and the support of many donors, the goal was surpassed!
$10,396 was raised. 100% will be given to Sister Silvia for her classroom building project. The total raised includes donations, a Walmart matching grant, and the “Surpass the Past” prize of $500 from El Paso Electric.
El Paso Giving Day is an online charitable giving campaign designed to shine a light on the essential services of nonprofit organizations and ignite the spirit of giving in our community. This year’s Giving Day was held on October 21, 2021.
The Catholic Foundation is a nonprofit community foundation established in 2001 committed to growing philanthropy in the Diocese of El Paso. In honor of our clergy and religious—priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters—the 2021 recipients of the Catholic Foundation’s Dei Gratia Award, we focused on raising funds to support the ministry of Sister Silvia Chacón at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Ft. Hancock.
Thank you for your continued support. Sister Silvia sends you many blessings and thanks you from the bottom of her heart!
