As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

6th Annual Dei Gratia Award Recipient Announced

Diocese of El Paso Clergy and Religious will be honored as the 2021 recipients of the Catholic Foundation’s Dei Gratia Award for their extraordinary and heroic ministry during the pandemic.

They have been unrelenting in their commitment and service to others during COVID-19, and continue to accompany us during these still uncertain times.

The Dei Gratia Award, Latin for “By the Grace of God”, recognizes an individual, couple, or organization for their servant leadership, outstanding contribution to the Diocese of El Paso and our Catholic community, and dedication to being good stewards of God’s grace.

The Dei Gratia Award will be presented to Bishop Mark Seitz during the virtual 15th Annual Foundation of Faith Event: Ignite Your Hearts on Thursday, September 23 at The Manor at Ten Eleven.

Priests, deacons, and men and women religious, practiced heroic ministry during the pandemic, and went out of their way to respond to God’s call to “Ignite Your Hearts”. They pray with us, bless us, teach us, counsel us, and accompany us. Some even gave their lives.

Help us celebrate the Diocese of El Paso Clergy and Religious with your participation at the 15th Annual Foundation of Faith Event.
