As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

Welcome to Our Two New Team Members!

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso warmly welcomes our two newest team members: Carla Martinez, Director of Development, and Lisa Lopez, Progress Annual Appeal Assistant.

Carla Martinez, Director of Development, joined the Catholic Foundation at the beginning of May. Carla brings a wealth of expertise to the Catholic Foundation, with extensive experience in the development arena, marketing, strategic planning, and relationship management. Her background includes impactful work with WellMed Medical (including the WellMed Charitable Foundation) and United Healthcare. We are looking forward to leveraging her incredible skills and experience to advance our philanthropic goals and strengthen our donor relationships!

We are also pleased to welcome Lisa Lopez, who joined us in April as our new Progress Assistant. Lisa comes to the Catholic Foundation with incredible data entry, records management, and operations experience. Lisa is excited to return to the workforce after raising four beautiful children. Thus far, Lisa has proven to be efficient and hardworking, and we are so grateful to have her in this essential role.
