Welcome Father Alfonso Coronado, the Newest Priest in the Diocese of El Paso
Welcome Father Alfonso Coronado, the Newest Priest in the Diocese of El Paso

Most Rev. Mark Seitz, D.D., Bishop of El Paso, ordained Alfonso Coronado to the Priesthood on Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Patrick Cathedral.

Father Alfonso celebrated his first Mass at Corpus Christi Parish, where he completed his pastoral year. You can find Father Alfonso at Our Lady of of Peace in Alpine where he will serve under Father Pablo Matta.

Father Alfonso shared his deep gratitude in English and Spanish saying, “I could not be more grateful to God for His love that fills me each day, for my family, and for my friends who always support me and show me their love. God is great all the time.”

“No puedo estar más agradecido con Dios por su amor que me derrama cada día, por mi familia y por mis amigos que siempre me apoyan y me muestran su cariño. Dios es grande todo el tiempo.”

Keep Father Alfonso Coronado in your prayers.

When men are ordained for the Diocese of El Paso, they serve the Diocese of El Paso. These men have made a lifelong commitment to our diocese. Consider a gift to the Seminarian Education Endowment Fund or the Retired Priest Appreciation Fund in their honor.
