This Lenten season, the Catholic Foundation invites you to reflect on ways to pray, serve, and give back to our Catholic community.
As of February 2026, the Diocese of El Paso has fourteen seminarians in formation, discerning their vocation and preparing their minds and hearts to serve our Diocese. Encouraging, supporting, and promoting these beautiful vocations to the priesthood is vital to the future of the Church. However, this preparation can come with a substantial cost.
Through the Catholic Foundation’s Seminarian Education Endowment Fund, a small Lenten offering, made daily, weekly, or monthly, can serve as a sacrifice which grows and multiplies over time. The Seminarian Education Endowment Fund provides support for the expenses of the seminarians of the Diocese of El Paso. As an endowment fund, the principal donations exist in perpetuity, while distributions are made from the annual interest on the fund. This ensures that donations will grow over time and continue to support the needs of seminarians in our Diocese for many years to come.
Please prayerfully consider making an offering to the Seminarian Education Endowment Fund this Lent. Any gift to an endowment fund, no matter how large or small, yields a multiplication of blessings over time. A humble gift, repeated every day, week, or month of Lent, can create a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of these dedicated men, and in turn, the future of our Catholic community.
