The Catholic Foundation is hosting a free virtual event on Wednesday, February 9 from 7-8pm featuring a presentation by Timothy O’Malley, Ph.D., director of education at the McGrath Institute for Church Life and academic director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy.
The Presence of Love: We Are Meant to be Present to the Lord and to One Another will explore the theology of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and how we are called to be present with the Lord and with one another in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. O’Malley will explain the doctrine and pastoral perspective of the Eucharist and will offer an invitation to return to the pews. According to the 2021 Diocesan Mass Attendance Count coordinated by the Catholic Foundation’s Stewardship program, more than 15,000 individuals view Mass on television or via social media.
