In October, the Diocese of El Paso conducts a Mass attendance count every year to continue the analysis of the growth of the El Paso catholic community. This year, the Mass Attendance Count was conducted on the weekends of October 15-16 and October 22-23 in all parishes, monasteries, seminaries, and one campus ministry, in El Paso and West Texas rural areas.

All parishes forms were received by the Catholic Foundation, Stewardship Coordinator Karina Sandoval-Enriquez, who reported the following to the Catholic community:

2022 Mass Attendance Count

Overall, 46,060 individuals attended Mass on the weekend of October 15-16, 2022

  • 18,227 individuals attended English Mass
  • 24,901 individuals attended Spanish Mass
  • 1,890 individuals attended Bilingual Mass
  • 567 individuals attended Mass in Other Languages

Overall, 47,632 individuals attended Mass on the weekend of October 22-23, 2022

  • 19,171 individuals attended English Mass
  • 25,869 individuals attended Spanish Mass
  • 1,526 individuals attended Bilingual Mass
  • 662 individuals attended Mass in Other Languages

On average, 46,846 individuals attended __Mass in the month of October 2022 in the Diocese of El Paso

Online Mass Attendance Count

Overall, 1,935 individuals attended online Mass on the weekend of October 15-16, 2022

  • 1,142 individuals attended English Mass
  • 793 individuals attended Spanish Mass

Overall, 1,643 individuals attended online Mass on the weekend of October 22-23, 2022

  • 985 individuals attended English Mass
  • 658 individuals attended Spanish Mass

On average, 1,789 individuals attended __Mass online in the month of October 2022 in the Diocese of El Paso

Overall, 7,972 individuals attended Televised Mass on the weekend of October 15-16, 2022

  • 5,818 individuals attended Televised Mass in English on CW
  • 2,154 individuals attended Televised Mass in Spanish on TV Azteca

Overall, 7,871 individuals attended Televised Mass on the weekend of October 22-23, 2022

  • 5,348 individuals attended Televised Mass in English on CW
  • 2,523 individuals attended Televised Mass in Spanish on TV Azteca

On average, 7,922 individuals attended Televised Mass in the month of October 2022 in the Diocese of El Paso.

Therefore, the results of the 2022 Mass Attendance Count are 56,557 individuals on average, attended Mass in the Diocese of El Paso.
