As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill our mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso invites you to Seminarian Movie Night on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Premiere Cinema El Paso Bassett. This year’s featured film, Triumph of the Heart- The Passion of Maximillian Kolbe, is a moving story of faith, courage, and unwavering devotion. This special evening will be more than a movie, but also a powerful encounter with a Saint. A relic of St. Maximilian Kolbe will be present for the film’s showing. This unforgettable night is also an opportunity to stand beside the young men who have generously answered God’s call to the priesthood.

Today, the Diocese of El Paso is blessed with 11 seminarians, including three who are preparing for Ordination to Transitional Diaconate in 2026. Their path to the priesthood is one of faith, sacrifice, and years of dedicated formation. Lasting eight to ten years, seminary formation includes spiritual growth, academic study, pastoral ministry, and leadership development—all essential to preparing compassionate and faithful priests to serve our parishes for generations to come.

As the cost of seminary education continues to rise, so does the need for faithful supporters. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Seminarian Education Fund Endowment, ensuring that financial burdens never stand in the way of a young man answering God’s call.

We invite you to join clergy, parishioners, families, and friends for an inspiring evening that celebrates hope, faith, and the future of our Church. Your presence will help form the next generation of priests who will baptize our children, celebrate the Eucharist, comfort the suffering, and faithfully shepherd our community for years to come.
