Support Catholic Youth through the Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal
Support Catholic Youth through the Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal

As we enter the back-to-school season, let’s take time to prepare ourselves spiritually. Together we pray for the safety and sanctity of children, and for the wisdom and holiness of our students, teachers, and parents.

As a community, we have much to celebrate and be grateful for. Our Catholic teachers are second-to-none. Committed and highly qualified, they are excellent role models—servant leaders with true hearts for the youth. We should look to the future as beneficiaries of a successful school system to ensure future generations experience success.

The Office of Education works closely with all nine Catholic school campuses. The number of people directly served annually by this ministry is inspiring. Currently, an estimated 2,303 students are enrolled in Catholic schools in the Diocese of El Paso. The Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal is a yearly diocesan fundraising campaign to support the day-to-day operations of ministries, like the Office of Education.

“The Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal helps ensure instructional and teaching excellence, Christ-centered lives of service and faith, and preparedness for service to our Church and community. We sincerely and with faith ask for your support. Catholic Schools hold a place of special importance in the teaching mission of the Church. St. John Paul II stated, “educational ministry is one of humanity’s most excellent and creative activities, for it does not write on inanimate material but the very spirits of human beings.” Your generosity and collaboration are important to us to achieve that purpose. May God bless you abundantly for your support and prayers for our mission.” — Dr. Lanny Hollis, Superintendent of Catholic Schools

The vital work of the Office of Education is supported by the Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal. Your continued sacrificial generosity is greatly appreciated. We invite you to participate in the Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal again in 2022, both through a commitment to prayer and a Progress Catholic Ministry Appeal gift .
