As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

St. Patrick Cathedral School Class of 1962 Re-unites at 100 Year Gala
St. Patrick Cathedral School Class of 1962 Re-unites at 100 Year Gala

On January 20th St. Patrick’s Cathedral School celebrated 100 years with a gala chaired by Ana Hegeman, alumna and parent, at the El Paso Country Club. Over 300 attendees were present to celebrate the founding of the school that had graduated many notable Catholics in the community. Among those in attendance was the 8th Grade Class of 1962. These graduates united to celebrate this important milestone sixty-two years after their graduation. This class had a notable 8th grade year when Coach Carlos Lowenberg lead them to play a championship game against St. Pius at the Sun Bowl. A notable member of class included Fr. John Vargas C.Ss.R. who worked at the Vatican as treasurer for the Redemptorists. Recently members of the team get together and reminisce about their time at St. Patrick Cathedral School.
