As COVID-19 continues to claim victims around the world, families have been separated from their loved ones who are fighting for their lives in isolation. But Catholic priests and seminarians are still able to bring the healing presence of the Church to these patients and the people who love them.
Seminarian Angel Tarango is working in hospital ministry during his CPE (Clinical Pastoral Experience) which follows the third year of study and is required for the M.Div. degree (Master of Divinity) at Mundelein Seminary where he is in formation.
Reflecting on his time at the hospital Angel said, “This time at the hospital has been one of the most humane and powerful experiences I have ever had. By the end of the day, I’m pretty much exhausted, but I feel truly alive.”
