Pray, Serve, Give: A Lenten Invitation for 2026
Pray, Serve, Give: A Lenten Invitation for 2026

The Catholic Foundation invites you to download the Pray, Serve, Give Lenten Sheet as a companion for your Lenten journey this year. This resource is designed to help you reflect on how you can grow closer to God during the forty days that recall Jesus’ time in the desert—a season of prayer, fasting, and preparation that led His heart toward His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

During this sacred season, the Church invites us to remember the very reason for our salvation. Pope Leo XIV, in his general audience on September 3, 2025, draws our attention to the powerful words Jesus speaks from the Cross: “I thirst” (Jn 19:28): “This teaches us that salvation comes not through force, but through the trusting weakness of love, it invites us to recognize our own spiritual thirst—for love, justice, and communion—and to open ourselves to receive from God and from others.”

This Lent, the Catholic Foundation invites you to recognize your own spiritual thirst—whether is for love, peace, healing, consolation, or for a deeper communion with God and with one another. Rather than ignoring that thirst, allow it to draw you closer to Christ. Trust that even in vulnerability, God’s love is at work, forming your heart and guiding your response.

We invite you to download the Pray, Serve, Give Lenten Sheet and allow it to accompany you throughout these forty days, helping you respond with prayer, service, and generosity as you prepare your heart for the joy of the Resurrection.

Have a blessed season of Lent, from the Catholic Foundation.
