Patties & Pints for Priests Celebrates and Supports Retired Priests; Giving Day Fundraiser Exceeds Goal

The Catholic Foundation’s Patties & Pints for Priests event on El Paso Giving Day, October 16, 2025, was a rousing success – a sold-out night of fun, camaraderie, and support for retired priests in our community! Over 100 attendees enjoyed DeadBeach Brewery’s burgers, beers, and relaxed atmosphere. Priest Lotería – an instant hit with the crowd, customized with familiar priests’ faces from around the diocese – rounded off the night, with several in attendance winning prizes!

Thanks to the support of many generous donors, the Catholic Foundation raised over $11,000 for the Retired Priest Appreciation Endowment Fund! This fund assists the retired priests of our diocese who have dedicated their lives to the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of our community. It offsets their expenses, from medical care and transportation to housing and personal needs. The proceeds from Patties and Pints and funds raised from El Paso Giving Day will ease the financial strain of their retirement and help show our gratitude for their years of service, so that they can spend the rest of their years in peace and dignity.

Thank you to all who made this event a success by attending, donating, or hosting a priest, and thank you to High Ridge Wealth Management for sponsoring this event for a meaningful cause! We hope to see you in 2026 at our next Patties and Pints for Priests!
