As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

Memorial Concert for Father Trini Fuentez
Memorial Concert for Father Trini Fuentez

A memorial concert will be held for Father Trini Fuentez at St. Patrick Cathedral on Sunday, November 14 at 3pm.

The free concert will feature Dr. Joyce Jones, former head of the Organ Department at Baylor University. Ms. Jones has devoted her professional life to making friends for the organ through community concerts, organ dedications, children’s concerts, and “Access to Music” programs. She has been widely acclaimed since making her debut with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as the only organist ever to win the prestigious G. B. Dealey award. She has played in 47 states and 12 foreign countries.

Father Trini served the Diocese of El Paso faithfully for over 40 years. He was at St. Joseph’s, San Antonio de Padua, St. Joseph Mission in Fort Davis, Christ the King in Balmorhea, Santa Lucia, San Elceario, Most Holy Trinity, Queen of Peace, and St. Patrick Cathedral, and has beloved parishioners, family, and friends across the diocese, the region, and the country.

Join us for this special celebration of the life of Father Trini. The concert is free and open to the public. You can donate online to the St. Patrick Cathedral Historic Preservation Fund and at the door.
