Luis and Teena Mendiola Fund Established for Filipino-American Endowment Fund
Luis and Teena Mendiola Fund Established for Filipino-American Endowment Fund

The Catholic Foundation is honored to welcome the Luis and Teena Mendiola Fund to the Catholic Legacy Fund. The couple established the fund in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.

Luis and Teena Mendiola wanted to do something special for their anniversary celebration in addition to Mass and a gathering. They decided to invite their guests to donate to the Filipino-American Endowment Fund in lieu of gifts.

“Our love has already brought us so many gifts. In lieu of presents, we wish to spread more love by asking guests to make a voluntary donation to the Filipino-American Endowment Fund,” the couple shared.

The generosity of family and friends inspired the couple to establish the Luis and Teena Mendiola Fund, a permanent endowed fund.

The Filipino-American Endowment Fund was established in 2007 as a legacy to the Filipino heritage in the Diocese of El Paso. Annual contributions support vocations and priests in their retirement. Proceeds from the annual Simbang Gabi, a Filipino Christmas tradition, benefit the Filipino-American Endowment Fund.

You can contribute to the Filipino-American Endowment Fund in any amount or create a Named Fund with a gift of $10,000 or more. There is no minimum requirement to contribute to an existing endowed fund. Gifts of any size are welcome, and are vital to the Filipino community’s mission.
