The Kevin Mark Aguilar Memorial Scholarship Fund for Cathedral High School was established by Herman and Cecilia Aguilar to provide annual distributions for scholarships for Cathedral High School in memory of their beloved son, Kevin, Class of 1986.
Kevin’s father, Herman, a longtime member of the Cathedral High School Alumni Association, as well as his son, Nathaniel, and nephews, Adam and Noah, are all proud graduates of Cathedral High School.
The Aguilar Fund is the 106th fund in the Catholic Legacy Fund, the Catholic Foundation’s endowment program.
Kevin was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders football team and a member of the El Paso Corvette Club. He served with the Fort Bliss Fire Department and the United States Customs and Border Protection. He was working for FedSys as an Advisor for Border Management Task Force in Afghanistan when he became ill.
He passed away on November 20, 2015 at the age of 48. Kevin’s legacy will live on through future generations of Cathedral High School alumni.
You can contribute to the Kevin Mark Aguilar Memorial Scholarship Fund for Cathedral High School in any amount or create a Named Fund with a gift of $10,000 or more. There is no minimum requirement to contribute to an existing endowed fund. Gifts of any size are welcome, and are essential to Cathedral High School’s mission.
Saint John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us! Live Jesus in our hearts. Forever!
