General Description
The Annual Appeal Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Annual Catholic Ministry Appeal, to ensure that the campaign achieves its annual fundraising goals.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to: Foundation Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Also works with the Catholic Ministry Appeal committee and Foundation for the Diocese Board of Directors to develop and execute strategies to improve and expand the Annual Appeal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
S/he will work with the COO to prepare and distribute campaign material, provide training for parishes, and prepare monthly analytical reports. The Annual Appeal Coordinator will be responsible for general outreach to parishes, stewarding Appeal donors, and marketing the Catholic Ministry Appeal. The Coordinator also will be responsible for working with the COO, Catholic Ministry Appeal Committee, and Board of Directors to develop and execute strategies to improve and expand the Annual Appeal.
General Qualifications
- Proven success in fundraising.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in fundraising, parish or diocesan ministry, or marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 2 years of college coursework required.
- Spanish language fluency required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to travel throughout 10 counties of the Diocese.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing.
Equipment Used
Telephone, personal computer, scanner, copier and fax machine. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have experience with database software and the ability to learn new applications. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software a plus.

Requires contact by telephone, in writing, and personal contact with donors, prospective donors, grantors, board members, clergy, men and women religious, service providers, and volunteers.
Working Conditions
Works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Starting Salary Range: $34,000/year depending on experience and education
