The 2023 Diocesan Stewardship Conference, Impacting Lives Through Service

It is inspiring that we can serve in many capacities.” – Maria Jimenez.

The 2023 Stewardship Conference served as an opportunity to learn about how Stewardship is a way of sharing God’s gifts with others and turning service into moments of impact throughout the Diocese of El Paso. Conference speakers explained the meaning of Stewardship: PRAY, SERVE, and GIVE to more than 100 attendees. The conference was held on Saturday, August 12th at San Antonio de Padua Parish and the attendees had the opportunity to learn about Stewardship from Carlos Proaño, Director of Stewardship and Development from the Diocese of San Jose, and also from Bishop Mark Seitz, Fr. Mariano Lopez, Deacon Jesus Cardenas, and Arturo Adame from Tepeyac Institute.

The Stewardship Conference’s goal was to explore the meaning of Stewardship; what it is about, and why it’s important to give our time, talent, and treasure in serving the Church. Nowadays, where ministry participation is essential to continue the evangelization to all, topics such as The Steward is a Disciple: A Path to Holiness, Social Media as Key to Evangelizing, How Stewardship Can Transform Your Parish, and How Practical Stewardship Speaks to Young Adults were offered at the conference.

Stewardship is serving the community as a representative of Jesus.”

The Catholic Foundation continues to invite all to a life of Stewardship and to recognize the giving of our time, talent, and treasure to our parishes is essential to our life of faith.
