The Teacher’s Salary Subsidy Fund ensures that educators at each of El Paso’s 9 Catholic schools in the Diocese of El Paso have the funds necessary for salary support.
The Catholic schools in the Diocese of El Paso are staffed by men and women who have dedicated their lives to helping students receive a high quality education and to help them develop a love of God and their faith. As a Church, we are keenly aware of our responsibility to ensure what we pay our teachers is a just and living wage. The Teacher’s Salary Subsidy Fund was established to assist schools who struggle to meet the Church’s commitment to pay a just wage.
The Teacher’s Salary Subsidy Fund ensures that educators at each of El Paso’s 9 Catholic schools in the Diocese of El Paso have the funds necessary for salary support. Catholic school educators are paid substantially less than their public school counterparts but stress that they love their jobs, love being in a Catholic school, and feel strongly that being a teacher is a vocation and a calling. We have Catholic education and teachers to credit for 97% of Catholic school students graduating from high school and 95% of them going to college. Help the Foundation grow the Teacher’s Salary Subsidy Fund and support our exemplary Catholic school teachers.
