San Rosalía Church, named after the Chihuahua town from which most of the first parishioners came, was built in 1891 The community of Buena Vista was settled in the 1920s by families working at ASARCO. Santa Teresita was originally established as a chapel of San José de Cristo Rey Parish in Smeltertown in 1933. In 1962, the chapel was demolished to make way for Paisano Drive. The new church was inaugurated in June 1963 at Zapal Street. This fund helps support the life and programs of the parish.
