The faith community of Holy Spirit began in 1973 when a small group of worshippers began meeting in a private garage. Holy Spirit was established in May 1975 as a mission of Our Lady of the Valley Parish.
The church has been served by various priests including Fathers Jose Frank, Thomas Rowland, Trini Fuentes, Miguel Alcuino, Joe Molina, Pablo Matta, and Ralph Solis. Since 2014, Father Jose Morales has served as pastor. Today, Holy Family serves 700 families and prepares 200 children each year for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. The church also ministers to two catechetical centers – Centro Juan Diego in the Agua Dulce Colonia and La Resurrección in El Paso Hills.
Endowed funds provide a vehicle through which individuals make outright or planned gifts that will have an everlasting impact on the ministry/parish/school. In time the income generated by the gift will far exceed the original donation.
As a result, endowed funds provide a perpetual, supplemental source of income for such things as the enhancement of programs and ministries, facilities maintenance, scholarships and seminary assistance, priest retirement, etc. Learn more about endowed funds.
